Box sealing for electronics

Immediately after publication of the new United States government regulations concerning electronic devices on flights from the Middle East, Seal & Go managed to offer a complete new service at Hamad International Airport (Qatar).

Effective 21 March 2017 in accordance with new United States government regulations, all passengers travelling on United States-bound flights are prohibited from carrying any electronic devices on board the flight larger than a cellular phone or smart phone, with the exception of medical devices needed during the flight, spare lithium batteries or power banks. Examples of large electronic devices that will not be allowed in the cabin on affected flights include, but are not limited to:

  • Laptops
  • Tablets
  • E-Readers
  • Cameras
  • Portable DVD players
  • Electronic game units larger than a smartphone
  • Travel printers/scanners

10 airports
These enhancements apply to 10 specific airports. The affected overseas airports are: Queen Alia International Airport (AMM), Cairo International Airport (CAI), Ataturk International Airport (IST), King Abdul-Aziz International Airport (JED), King Khalid International Airport (RUH), Kuwait International Airport (KWI), Mohammed V Airport (CMN), Hamad International Airport (DOH), Dubai International Airport (DXB), and Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH).

Two days after publication of the new United States government regulations concerning electronic devices on flights from the Middle East, Seal & Go managed to offer a complete new service at Hamad International Airport (Qatar). Two extra seal machines were transported from Amsterdam to Qatar and are now fully operational. The machines offer the special box sealing service. With box sealing your electronic devices are protected with bubble wrap, in a box, sealed and traceable. This service offers passengers at Hamad International Airport the possibility to safely transport their electronic devices to the USA together with their other check-in luggage.
